Pennant Coffee morning.

A wonderful morning was had at Pennant Coffee morning where a small number of local residents were met.  

As discussed in the coffee morning, please could local residents be aware that there has been some heating oil theft recently.   This is usually the case when oil prices are on the increase as they are currently. 

Please check your heating oil regularly, and if at all possible it is a good idea to have some sort of camera overlooking your heating oil tank.  Although cameras are reasonably cheap, it is an added cost to people.  

Please report any heating oil thefts via 101 or 999 if an emergency or the theft is ongoing.

People often ask advice about placing a lock on these tanks.  The advice varies around this, but the general consensus is not to place a lock on the tank because thieves will then drill a hole in tanks which renders the tank unusable.  The decision as to whether to place a lock on a tank or not is obviously down to the individual.
