Digbeth police station’s public contact office reopens |
||
|
Dear Resident, I thought you'd like to know that Digbeth police station’s public contact office has reopened.
For the first time in 10 years, people can now visit the station in person to report crime or get advice.
The decision to reopen the facility was made by Chief Constable Craig Guildford and coincides with a major redevelopment of the eastside area of the city and an influx of festive visitors to the city.
Birmingham Central on Snowhill Queensway remains the city’s 24/7 police station.
In July, a new police station opened in Sutton Coldfield when service transferred to another part of the existing site. In September, the public contact office in Coventry’s Willenhall police station was reopened after 10 years and last month, and a new police station opened in Dudley town centre.
Digbeth police station’s public contact office closed around 2015 but continued to be used as a registration point for overseas visitors until 2022.
Digbeth police station is located at 113 Digbeth, Birmingham, B5 6DT. The public contact office is open Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm (excluding bank holidays).
