Bike Marking Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at Hucknall High Street on Sunday 22 February at 10:00 until 12:00 hours, for a Bike Marking and Crime prevention event. We are able to mark not only bikes, but also any wheelchairs or mobility scooters that have a serial number on the frame.
Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 3.05am on Sunday 15 February in Polperro Way, Hucknall, a house alarm was activated and a security camera shows two people enter the garden through a back gate and try the garage door, the alarm goes off and they run away. Burglary Other Between 3.00pm on Thursday 12 and 7.50am on Friday 13 February in Papplewick Lane, Hucknall, two sheds were broken into and some items from them thrown into a neighbours garden. The back had been taken off one shed and the door forced on the second. It is not clear at this time what or if anything was stolen. At 3.00am on Sunday 15 February in Harrow Road, Hucknall, an outhouse was broken into and two electric scooters were stolen by an offender wearing a black or dark grey hoodie, a cap or dark coloured balaclava, dark trousers and black trainers with a white line. The scooters were thrown over a fence one hitting and smashing the windscreen of a car. At 4.00pm on Sunday 15 February in Dawlish Close, Hucknall, a door bell was activated and it shows the garage door being tried. There were three offenders in total, one at least climbed over the fence into the next property but were frightened off by the occupant. They left an e-scooter behind lent against a lamp post. At 4.00am on Sunday 15 February in Dawlish Close, Hucknall, three offenders tried to break into a garage. Wearing dark clothing and with faces covered. They left an e-scooter behind. Around 4.00am on Sunday 15 February in Dawlish Close, Hucknall, two offenders arrived, masked up, on e-scooters and tried to break into a garage damaging the door. Theft of motor vehicle Between 4.00pm on Saturday 14 and 8.00am on Sunday 15 February in Beardall Street, Hucknall, a grey Skoda Octavia parked at the roadside was stolen. It was found and recovered some days later. Theft from motor vehicle Overnight Tuesday 17 to Wednesday 18 February in Derbyshire Lane, Hucknall, the drivers side wheel was stolen from a Ford Ka left in a car port on a property. The car had been jacked up to remove the wheel and was left supported by jack. Theft Nothing to Report Violence against Person At 9.12pm on Monday 16 February at the Aldi Food Store, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, a shoplifter threatened staff with a small hammer when challenged. Male, 5-09”, early 20’s, stocky build, wearing a black puffer jacket, black bottoms, grey crocs. He smashed bottles of wine in the shop and made off towards Bulwell. Criminal Damage At 7.24pm on Tuesday 17 February in Victoria Way, Hucknall a report that a window had been smashed. ASB At 5.03pm on Thursday 12 February on land adjacent to Whyburn Lane, Hucknall, a report of four or five 18 year old males, wearing dark clothing, hoods, joggers, some with bikes, playing on a dangerous construction site. A fence had been moved to gain access. The caller was concerned for their safety. At 10.07pm on Friday 13 February at Eastwell Court, Annesley Road, Hucknall, an unknown male, possibly mixed race, wearing a hoody and joggers, was found sitting with his back to the wall at the bottom of a stairwell. It is thought he forced the main door open to gain access. At 4.47pm on Saturday 14 February at the Hucknall Leisure Centre, Linby Road, Hucknall, a report of two youths, dressed in black with hoods up and faces covered, climbing on the roof. At 7.24pm on Saturday 14 February In Roman Avenue, Hucknall, a group of youths were hanging around under the covered way under a flat which is the entrance to the rear of the properties and car parking area. This is very intimidating to those wanting walk through. This is a regular occurrence usually happening between 7.30pm and 8.30pm when two to five people will arrive on bikes or mopeds wearing balaclavas with faces covered. At 2.20pm on Monday 16 February in Field Avenue, Christchurch Road, Hucknall, a report of children knocking on doors and throwing stuff at windows. At 7.52pm on Monday 16 February in Totnes Close, Hucknall, three or four youths were playing ‘Knock a door and run’. They were also kicking doors and being verbally abusive. At 7.22pm on Wednesday 18 February in Loxley Close, Hucknall, four youths were trying to get into a block of flats by pressing buzzers and pretending to be from Uber Eats. They were also abusive to the tenants. White males, 12/15 years old, all slim build. One male was tall, had curly hair and was wearing a black puffer jacket and grey joggers, the other three were in dark clothing.
