Door to Door Scam

Dear Resident,

Last week we were made aware of a female knocking on doors in the Baildon area claiming to urgently need money for baby food or similar. Shipley police are aware of this female who has been identified and offered support services. Yesterday, 23/02/2026, we received a further report that the same female attended an address on Poplar Crescent, Shipley around 8.20pm giving a similar story. 

We urge residents to not be taken in by anyone claiming to need money or wanting to enter your home. Legitimate callers will have identification and will be willing to return at a later time /date when you are able to have someone else with you.
