Hello Beckton and Welcome to your Street Crime Headlines from the past week. I’m happy to report there was no burglaries, no snatches and no successful robberies.
Road Rage 26/03/26– A prang in the B&Q car park led to one of the parties putting the other in a headlock.
Robbery (Attempted) 30/03/26 – Six youths surrounded a lone teenager in Beckton Park and demanded his phone. Fortunately, an off-duty officer witnessed this and the group ran when she identified herself.
Criminal Damage 30/03/26 After meeting to buy a car, the potential car buyer damaged the vehicle in hopes it would decrease the value.
Distraction Theft 27/03/26 – An unknown male has distracted someone at the Asda cash machines and managed to see their PIN number and obtain their card. Money was withdrawn.
Public Order 28/03 - This was a racial incident at Asda pharmacy. The Suspect did not like the service he was getting and decided that name calling was his best course of action. He was picking up a prescription so he will no doubt be arrested in very the near future.
Theft From Vehicles 28th & 29th - Numberplates stolen from Savage Gardens, Renfrew Close and Armada Way.
Theft 28/03/26 – Upon leaving a 366 bus, our Victim went to use his debit card and found that it was no longer in his wallet. No one was near him and was not “bumped”. 28/03/26 - A bag was taken from a pram whilst out shopping. 29/03/26 – A Ring doorbell was stolen in Dunnock Road. This is possibly related to an ongoing parking dispute. 30/03/26 – Phone stolen from a bag whilst the victim was playing football at Kingsford School.
Theft of Vehicle 29/03/26 - A White Nissan Leaf was stolen from East Ham Manor Way at some point in the early hours of the night.
Grievous Bodily Harm 30/03/26 – The stabbing that I spoke about in the previous post. If anyone has any info please call 101 quoting CAD 4910/30MAR26
If you have any questions or any information on any of the above crimes, please do get in touch. As always, be aware of your surroundings when out and about. A lot of crime is opportunistic and keeping personal items close and out of sight is great way to reduce your chances of being a victim.
Until next week
