Hello Custom House and Welcome to your Street Crime Headlines from the past week. I’m happy to report there was no burglaries, no snatches and no successful robberies. However….
Attempted Robbery 29/03/26 – At 7pm on Boreham Close two males approached another and demanded his phone. A car drove passed and beeped its horn. This was enough to scare our would-be robbers, and they ran off. Thank you unknown driver. You’re a hero! 30/03/26 – A Just Eat delivery driver was surrounded by a group of teens and they wanted his bike and food. They hit him. A police car was driving by at the right place and the right time and this group also ran off.
Criminal Damage 30/03/26 - A gate chain was broken in Freemason Road.
Possession of Drugs and a weapon 30/03/26 – Police found a male sleeping rough in the Hammersley Road bin Sheds. He has a community protection notice prohibiting him from being in those bin sheds. He was also in possession of a baton and cannabis.
Theft 31/03/26 - Parcels were stolen from a delivery van in Hammersley Road. 27/03/26 - Parcels stolen from a delivery bike in Cundy Road. 26/03/26 – Bags of shopping were stolen from a front garden on Plymouth Road.
That is everything this week.
If you have any questions or any information on any of the above crimes, please do get in touch. As always, be aware of your surroundings when out and about. A lot of crime is opportunistic and keeping personal items close and out of sight is great way to reduce your chances of being a victim.
Until next week
