Arson, Sherwood Hotel, Belgrave Road, Torquay

There is currently a large fire at the closed down Sherwood Hotel, Belgrave Road, Torquay.

A number of Fire appliances and Police Staff are present at this time. As a result of the fire, there is a large amount of smoke. Therefore the advice is for local residents and in particular, those nearest to the hotel, to close all windows and doors to prevent any health issues.

If anyone has witnessed those involved in this incident or has any CCTV footage, Ring Door bell footage etc, please contact Police on 101 and quote log number 0348 of 05/04/2026.
