We have seen that you said Nuisance Motorbikes, E-Bikes and E-Scooters were a top priority issue in your area. We are working hard to tackle these issues. 

With the information you have provided to us, we have been able to act upon some of these E-Bikes and E-Scooters and have had some success!

Officers were carrying out patrols 🚓 on rural ground opposite Cannon Way, Burscough, where two males were stopped on an electric bike 🚲. The bike was seized as it was not insured and was not registered to either male.

Both males were searched under Section 1 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE). During the search, one male was found to be in possession of drugs and has been dealt with appropriately.

This action forms part of our ongoing work to keep local communities safe and to address the use of illegal bikes, which can pose risks to riders and members of the public.

We will continue to patrol rural and residential areas and take positive action where needed. If you have concerns about illegal bike use or related antisocial behaviour.
