Pre-planned policing activity this weekend

Dear resident,

This weekend will see a number of pre-planned events in our Ward. As such we want to prepare you for a large police presence in the area, particularly around St James’s Square, Whitehall and some West End neighbourhoods. 

Several demonstrations and protests will be taking place around Westminster, and we will experience our usual increased weekend visitor footfall. Public Order and specialist teams will be deployed to manage and facilitate safe and legal protest at these pre-planned events, and our West End proactive teams along with emergency response will be taking calls and helping the public in their usual way.

It’s going to be a busy one but we are confident that our skilled and dedicated colleagues will ensure a safe weekend for everyone.
