Police officers from the Community Safety Unit made an arrest over the weekend just gone following the stop of a vehicle in Wrotham Heath. The driver was stopped during routine patrols and subjected to a roadside breath test, which indicated they were approximately twice the legal alcohol limit. Further checks were carried out and officers also found the driver to be in possession of a Class B controlled drug.

The driver was arrested and has since been charged. They are due to appear in court at a later date.

Kent Police remain committed to tackling drink‑ and drug‑driving, which poses a significant risk to road users and the wider community. Officers will continue proactive patrols and enforcement to keep local roads safe.
