Dear Resident, Stevenage Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a Community Engagement Session as detailed below.
We will be offering free bike marking outside the leisure centre whilst Every One Active are hosting a free health and wellbeing day in the main hall.
From the organisers: We are proud to invite you to our annual Health Action Day on Saturday 18th April from 10am to 2pm at Building on the incredible success of previous years, this free event has become a vital community lifeline, bridging the gap between clinical support and everyday wellbeing. Whether you want to speak with a health expert, try a new hobby, or simply enjoy a family day out, this event is designed to help everyone take that first step toward making small, positive changes. Health, Wellbeing & Support In a time of unprecedented pressure on the NHS, we are bringing together clinical experts, local charities, and dedicated volunteers to provide a comprehensive support hub. • Expert Advice: Explore over 20 stalls offering health and wellbeing support from local and national organisations. • Clinical Services: Take advantage of health checks and vital CPR demonstrations throughout the day. • Vital Support: Access resources ranging from mental health support to guidance on active living. Activity & Sport for All Ages Physical activity is a pillar of wellbeing. Come and have a go at a diverse range of sports and activities available for all ages: • Cricket, Golf & Table Tennis: Fun, inclusive sessions for everyone—from children to seniors. • Pickleball & Walking Netball: Try these social, low-impact sports that are perfect for staying mobile. • Family Badminton: Grab a racquet and get the whole family involved on the court. Free Fitness & Dance Taster Sessions Discover a new way to move with our free 25-minute sessions. We are also offering free gym access all day so you can explore our facilities at your own pace. • Dance Your Heart Out: Salsa Dance, Strictly Dance, Kids Dance, and Zumba. • Strengthen & Tone: Legs, Bums and Tums and Body Conditioning. • Balance & Focus: Find your calm with Yoga or Tai Chi.
