Motorbike theft

Dear residents 

On the evening of 16th April a motorbike was stolen from an address in VICARAGE CRESCENT.  Luckily the motorbike was found and reunited with it's owner. 

Here are some tips for keeping your motorbikes safe :

🏍️ Motorbike Security – Help Prevent Theft in Your Area

Motorbikes remain attractive to thieves. Please take a few simple steps to help protect yours and reduce crime in our neighbourhood:

✅ Always lock your bike, even if you’re only leaving it for a short time
✅ Use a high‑quality chain or D‑lock, securing it to a solid object where possible
✅ Keep bikes out of sight – a locked garage or secure shed is best
✅ If parking outside, choose well‑lit, busy areas
✅ Fit an alarm or immobiliser – bikes with visible security are less likely to be targeted
✅ Cover your bike – this helps disguise make, model and value
✅ Mark and register your bike using security marking kits or online registers
✅ Use ground anchors at home if available
