ASB issues

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

I want to draw your attention to a couple of issues that have been reported around Dracan Village at Drakelow recently. 

Firstly, it's been reported that youths are riding around on an Off-Road motorbike around an area between Dracan village and the other Drakelow estate near to the old train track/boat club in a private field.

Three lads and two females.

ASB - causing alarm and distress to others, will not be tolerated. If anyone has any knowledge of these youths riding an illegal motorbike then please confidentiality get in touch.

Secondly - reports of ASB around Thorneywood park area.

Many new trees which have been planted to create a nice area, have been ripped up or damaged and also some of the park furniture again has been damaged.

I'm asking responsible parents to please educate your children regarding looking after this park and to explain to them that it costs hundreds of pounds to replace this damage.

Electric Scooters. 

Everyone should know by now that riding around on E-Scooters are illegal whilst on public land/parks/roads and will be confiscated if seen.

Also to note that any persons that store/charge batteries in their property can potentially catch fire.

We work in partnership with Midland Heart and certain families have been reported regarding ASB.

Speeding/parking

Reports of speeding especially around Rowthorn Street/Holts Lane, but to be fair many areas on Dracan village.

Please slow-down- speed kills.

Report via ringing 101 Derbyshire Police with registration numbers so we can take further steps to stop this and to take action.

Please do not park on street corners and give a lot of space on pavements for public users,  if you have to park on pavements.
