Glossop YET - Round up of activities by the Glossop Youth Engagement Team
PCSO Buller of the Glossop Youth Engagement Team (YET) completed a lunchtime drop-in session at Glossopdale School & Sixth form, Newshaw Lane, Hadfield on Wednesday 15th April - to complete our monthly lunch time drop in session for April. to engage with students during their lunch break.
On Thursday morning.16th April PCSO Buller attended Kershaw Wood, Talbot St, Glossop - Part of First Steps Together. (Kershaw Wood is a small, nurturing specialist school - supporting children aged 5-11 (Key Stages 1 and 2) with additional needs, This was to speak with the headteacher to disuss and arrange inputs from YET, that can be provided for their KS2 Students.
This morning, Friday 17th of April, PCSO Buller attended The Bureau, Henry St, Glossop to visit and engage with attendees at the ‘Time Out Club' - who's Focus is Adult wellbeing and community support. providing social activities, creative sessions and support for adults (18+) with learning disabilities or autism. The group meet every Friday from 11 am until 1 pm. During the visit he took the opportunity to complete some Community Voice Surveys and even had time for a game or two of bingo including a coffee and chat..
PCSO Buller then completed a lunchtime drop-in session at St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy. (secondary School), Sunlaws Street, Glossop. again to engage with students during their lunch break. Later in the early evening an Early Intervention Clinis was completed by Glossop YET at Glossop Police Station between 6 pm and 7 pm. These Clinics are seen as a form of early intervention and and are used as part of our Restorative Justice System.
Thank you from Glossop YET to each of the schools mentioned above for their co-operation and agreement in allowing our attendance and the chance at both secondary schools to complete Derbsyhire Voice Youth Surveys with some of the pupils. And lastly thank you for the invite to visit 'The Time Out Club'.
