Positive Multi Agency Engagement Brings Community Together on Baileys Crescent, Seacroft |
||
|
On Tuesday 7th April 2026, a successful multi‑agency engagement event took place at Baileys Crescent, bringing together key partner organisations to positively engage with children, young people and families living on the estate following work conducted by PCSO Taylor and partners. The engagement was delivered in response to ongoing concerns around anti-social behaviour (ASB) involving children in the area, with a clear focus on early intervention, relationship‑building and community reassurance. Partners involved included Places for People, Housing Services, Money Buddies, and Leeds City Council Youth Services, working collaboratively to provide visible, approachable support within the neighbourhood. The NPT Engagement Vehicle was deployed, along with Leeds City Council Youth Service Bus offering a welcoming base for conversations with residents, families and young people. To encourage positive interaction, children were invited to take part in activities including colouring sheets and trying on mini uniforms, and outdoor games which proved extremely popular and helped break down barriers. The informal and friendly approach created a relaxed atmosphere, enabling officers and partner agencies to engage constructively with both children and parents. The presence of agencies was very well received, with strong engagement from local families. Parents expressed appreciation for partners being present within the estate, while many of the children enthusiastically asked if the PCSO’s and Youth Services team could return again the following week – a clear indicator of the positive impact the visit had. This engagement highlights the value of partnership working and visible community presence in addressing ASB concerns, building trust, and offering support to families in a proactive and approachable way. Further joint visits and engagement opportunities will continue to be explored as part of ongoing work within the area.
