To support public safety, a Section 35 Dispersal Order is in place within Kingston Town Centre from today until 1400hrs tomorrow.

This follows a recent serious violent incident and reports involving weapons. The order allows police to require individuals or groups to leave the area if their presence is likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress.

The aim of this action is to prevent further violence, keep people safe, and reassure residents, visitors and businesses. A high‑visibility police presence will remain in the town centre for the duration of the order, with officers engaging positively with the community.
