Cycle Marking or Registration Scheme : Sat 18 Apr 13:00

Today, St James Safer Neighbourhood Team took part in a joint event at Blackhorse Road E17 offering Bike Marking alongside Dr Bike who offers free safety checks and basic repairs. We had a very good outcome, and lots of people from the ward and surrounding areas came to register their bikes.

The event was well attended, with residents from the ward and surrounding areas taking the opportunity to register their bikes and receive safety advice.
This initiative was organised following the discovery of 26 stolen bicycles being recovered within the St James ward by the St James Safer Neighbourhood Team. Bike marking and registration are proven deterrents to theft and significantly increase the chances of stolen bikes being returned to their rightful owners.
