Dear Resident
Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team have been investigating a series of burglaries that occurred in and around the Bridport area over the Easter Weekend. Two high value vehicles had been stolen from addresses in Charmouth and Burton Bradstock. By carrying out community led Policing we were able to locate both vehicles and recover them back to their owners. Not only does the recovery of the vehicles mean the owners are not at a loss, but it opens up valuable Forensic opportunities to further aid the investigation in the detection and apprehension of the offenders. We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to our community for your support and assistance in recovering these vehicles. Your vigilance and information continue to make a real difference in helping us tackle crime and keep our area safe. Anyone with information about a crime, or suspicious incident is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, or call 999 if a crime is in progress, or if you or someone else is in immediate danger. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111. Please do not use Dorset Alert to report a crime or something else that requires urgent police attention as we are unable to log details via this system.
