We have recently just set the new neighbourhood priorities for the next quarter which we will be working with partners to reduce/resolve, priorities are set by looking at crime data, community feedback from our Community voice surveys which residents state what issues matter to them in their area, feedback from partners and also at community events.
You can stay involved by signing up to Derbyshire Alert and completing the survey here: https://orlo.uk/hvuWO
For The Hilton/Hatton/Etwall and surrounding areas the new neighbourhood priorities are:-
1) Improving road safety by tackling obstruction, speeding and anti‑social vehicle use. 2) Addressing speeding in Egginton. 3) Prevent and detect serious acquisitive crime, with a particular focus on theft of and from motor vehicles, along with theft from dwellings.
Actions we will take are:-
Road Safety: Conduct high‑visibility patrols in known hotspot areas. Continue working with Community Speed Watch where appropriate. Work closely with the community to gather information, feedback and provide updates. Take proactive enforcement action and collaborate with Roads Policing Units where necessary.
Speeding in Egginton: Support and work alongside Community Speed Watch. Carry out high‑visibility patrols. Take positive action against drivers caught speeding.
Serious Acquisitive Crime: Continue high‑visibility and plain‑clothes patrols in hotspot areas. Share crime‑prevention advice through social media, community events and Derbyshire Alert, raising awareness of current issues. Promote security measures such as tool‑marking, steering locks and CCTV. Work with partners including local authorities, bordering police forces and national policing teams to share intelligence and prevent offending.
