Drugs taken off the street!

Good Afternoon,

On Monday 20th April 2026, your local Safer Neighbourhood Teams conducted patrols along Kiln Wood Lane/St Johns Road, as this has been reported by local residents of people loitering at the location causing ASB and using Drugs. Upon arrival to the location, 2 males were located parked up with a strong smell of cannabis coming. The males were detained for a search under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 which resulted a large amount of cannabis being located and seized.

Both males were arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Class B - Cannabis. Both males were taken to custody and following thorough investigations and searches of their home addresses, both males were charged!

Information is critical for your local SNT to be able to target problem locations. From information from local residents reporting drug use and ASB in this location, patrols were increased in this area and resulted in a large amount of drugs taken from the streets and offenders processed for the relevant offences.
