Ripon Safer neighbourhood team have been contacted by a number of members of the public who are concerned regarding children as young as five using the roads within the Oaks Estate in Masham as a play area. Very young children have been seen playing ball games on or across the road, a number of very young children have been see riding on the roads with little or no experience of riding a bike safely, Please be aware very young children should always be accompanied when learning to ride a bike on a highway. Public roads should never be considered a safe place for children to use as a play area. |
