Lowestoft - Man arrested following police foot chase

A 31-year-old man has been arrested after attempting to evade police in Lowestoft.

At approximately 10:30am on Monday, 20 April, officers attended an address on Woollaston Road to arrest a man who was wanted.

The man ran from police and was pursued by officers on foot. He ran through private gardens, and climbed over a garden shed, before being detained a short time later on Katwijk Way.

During the course of the incident PAVA spray was discharged and a taser was deployed to resolve the situation effectively and safely.

The man was then arrested on suspicion of multiple offences as follows:

He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released on bail until 8 June.
