Please be aware that on the 21/04/2026 on MANSER ROAD, Rainham, a BMW X3 has been targeted by Suspect(s)

Theft From Motor Vehicle – Crime Prevention Advice

The Metropolitan Police are aware of a recent theft from a motor vehicle in the area.

Suspect(s) gained access to a vehicle and cut internal cables and removed parts from the steering wheel. At this time, it is unclear how access was gained.

We are sharing this information to raise awareness and offer crime prevention advice to help residents protect their vehicles.

How You Can Help Protect Your Vehicle

Residents are encouraged to consider the following:

Always lock your vehicle and double‑check doors are secure

Do not leave valuables or documents inside the vehicle

Park in a well‑lit area or on a driveway where possible

Consider using a steering wheel lock or additional security device

Ensure any keyless entry fobs are stored in a signal‑blocking pouch

Report any suspicious behaviour around vehicles immediately

Reporting

Call 999 if a crime is in progress

Call 101 to report non‑emergency incidents or suspicious activity
