Officers from the Heywood Neighbourhood Policing Team recently joined forces with our partners at Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) to tackle the growing number of complaints about anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Heady Hill area. Think of it as the ultimate neighbourhood watch team-up—like Batman and Robin, but with fewer capes and more paperwork.
The joint patrol provided an excellent opportunity to connect directly with residents about their concerns, including ASB and drug-related issues in the area. Officers conducted stop searches where appropriate, visited residents, and gathered valuable intelligence. We also took the time to listen to worries, offer reassurance, and even managed to share a few smiles along the way (we hope).
This partnership approach underscores our ongoing commitment to addressing community issues, supporting residents, and working collaboratively to keep our neighbourhoods safe. Because making Heywood a better place is a team effort—and we’re all in it together.
