Dispersal Order

A dispersal order will be in effect in Consett town centre and Hermiston Retail Park this weekend.

It will run from 4.30pm tonight (Friday, April 24) until 4.30pm on Sunday, April 26 and is aimed at tackling recent incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Anyone suspected of causing trouble in these areas will be issued with a dispersal order, banning them from returning.

Those who ignore the order will face arrest.

Extra officers will be on patrol throughout the weekend to monitor the situation and deal with anyone causing trouble.
