Your SNT (Safer neighbourhood team) have been out patrolling through all areas of Swadlincote and will be out over the weekend on Foot, bicycle and vehicle patrols, patrolling locations which have previously been subject to ASB along with visible patrols within the town centre and villages.
Alongside patrols SNT also attend incidents that are reported, investigate crimes within the community, complete safe guarding, work with partners to tackle community issues, conduct engagement within the community/schools/clubs and groups. Our posts do not capture all of what we do.
🐮 Pcso’s Lunnun and Anwar swiftly 'Mooooo' ved into action identifying a shop lifting offender who had stolen a metal ornate highland cow from Swadlincote and within a matter of hours of the report the offender had been visited and the cow returned to the store, Male is being dealt with for theft. 👩⚖️ Collaborating with Leicestershire Police SNT has also identified and dealt with several other shop lifting offenders who have been dealt with via either being reported to court or via out of court disposals (dependant on offending history) 🦅 Pcso’s Hodgkinson and Thompson conducted a mini-police session at Three Trees academy Woodville which this week was around heritage and rural crime. 🐶 Pc Lewis from our Youth Engagement team (YET) which forms part of our SNT conducted a Mini police session at Newhall Junior school which was an exciting visit from our Dog section and the wonderful Sprocker Hank and Kruger the German shepherd. . 🚸 YET officers Pc Lewis and Pcso Coldicott have also been into Granville and Pingle academy for lunch time engagement with the pupils and conducted a talk in Pingle. 👮♀️👮♂️Whilst conducting patrols around Mount pleasant road due to an increase in reports of ASB Pcso's Lunnun and Bell located a male who is now being dealt with for possession of cannabis.
If you see us out and about over the weekend please say hi 👋 .
