🚓 Police Update – Sandy Lane 🚓

In the early hours of this morning, a vehicle being driven at high speed was sighted by response officers on routine patrol in Hindley. The vehicle failed to stop for officers and shortly afterwards the driver lost control, colliding with a wall on Sandy Lane. The lone driver then attempted to make off from the scene but was safely detained following a short foot chase.

The driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving whilst disqualified, and other offences. He is currently in custody while further enquiries are carried out.

We would like to reassure the local community that this incident has been dealt with swiftly and there is no ongoing risk to the public. We thank residents for their patience and understanding.
