Yesterday evening, officers from the Hope Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team attended a community meeting at the Travellers Rest Pub, organised by Hope and Aston Parish Council. The event provided an opportunity to meet with residents of Aston and the surrounding area to listen to the concerns of this small local community. During the meeting, officers delivered an update on policing activity and crime over the past six months, before answering questions from those in attendance. Residents were also updated on several ongoing and upcoming initiatives, including the ANPR project, which involves the installation of additional cameras across the Hope Valley, as well as forthcoming parking restrictions in Castleton. It was a well-attended and positive meeting, with excellent engagement from residents throughout. Attendees were also given the opportunity to sign up to our free online messaging service, Derbyshire Alert, to receive local policing updates.
