Knife Crime Week |
||
|
OPERATION SCEPTRE | Please see below some changes to dates and times. ⏰ 📍
During May, Cheshire Constabulary will be supporting a national campaign aimed at keeping knives off the streets by directly targeting knife carriers as well as educating young people about the dangers and impact of choosing to carry a blade.
Activities during the week-long operation will include community knife sweeps, the execution of warrants in relation to knife crime, engagement in the community, knife surrender bins being deployed and the stepping up of patrols in hotspot areas.
During this time, local officers from knutsford police will be holding knife amnesty events. The amnesty gives members of the public the chance to dispose of a knife anonymously with no questions asked, by simply depositing it into the amnesty bin with the support of officers. Those surrendering knives are not required to give any personal details.
