Violence Against Women and Young Girls Patrols - Walk and Talk : Fri 29 May 16:00

Hi Markhouse residents,

We have organised a Violence Against Women and Young Girls (VAWG) Patrol on Friday 29th May at 1600hrs, the meeting place being the Walthamstow Leisure Centre car park on Markhouse Road E17.

VAWG is one of the Markhouse ward priorities, which we are determined to tackle. This does not stop us protecting male victims who come forward and report offences. We will provide support to men and boys and investigate crimes in the exact same way. 

Officers will be distributing leaflets that include contact details for relevant charities and support agencies, ensuring that anyone affected by VAWG knowns where to seek help. These materials highlight confidential helplines, local support services, and reporting options, making it easier for individuals to access assistance when they need it.
