Dear residents,

Thank you for taking the local priority survey recently,  we note that you highlighted Violence against women and girls in the survey so we wanted to provide you with an update on this local matter.

VAWG is one of the Lea Bridge  ward priorities, which we are determined to tackle. This does not stop us protecting male victims who come forward and report offences. We will provide support to men and boys and investigate crimes in the exact same way. 

Officers will be distributing leaflets that include contact details for relevant charities and support agencies, ensuring that anyone affected by VAWG knowns where to seek help. These materials highlight confidential helplines, local support services, and reporting options, making it easier for individuals to access assistance when they need it.
