Policing Update – Coalville Town Centre We wanted to provide an update on some of the issues we know matter to our community and the work currently taking place across Coalville. Anti‑Social Behaviour in Town Centre Car Parks We continue to receive reports of anti‑social behaviour in both local authority and privately run car parks. Officers are working closely with partners and have attended meetings around improving signage in affected areas. We are carrying out frequent patrols and liaising directly with car park owners and management. Where appropriate, Section 59 powers are being used, including the seizure of vehicles involved in persistent ASB. Drug Dealing and Associated ASB We recognise that drug‑related activity remains an issue within the town centre. This is a focus area for us, and we are actively targeting those involved. Several warrants have recently been executed at properties linked to drug use, and investigations are ongoing. Alongside enforcement, we are working with partner agencies on longer‑term solutions, including action around problematic properties and ownership. School Parking & Traffic Safety We have carried out enforcement operations at All Saints Primary School and Broom Leys Primary School. During these operations, parents and carers were spoken to and provided with advice, and where serious or repeat hazards were identified, tickets were issued. Further operations are planned at other schools across the beat to help improve safety for children, parents and local residents. Thank you to residents for your continued support and for reporting concerns. If you have information or ongoing issues you’d like to raise, please continue to report them through the usual channels. 👮♂️ PCSO 6596 Rose Coalville Town Beat Team NN44 |
