Town Centre Patrol

Good evening all,

During today’s patrol, officers have conducted a hi-vis patrol on the town centre, specifically around Yorkshire Street, Riverside and the Interchange. Today we have completed 3 vehicle stops, 1 due to the manner of driving and the fact he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Words of advice was passed to the driver. The other two stops were subsequent to document checks which all checked fine.

Officers have also removed an intoxicated male from the town centre. As stated previously, we take a proactive stance against drinking on the town centre, for the public’s safety as well as their own. Additionally, as the warmer weather is coming, this is something we will be monitoring.
