Westfield Neighbourhood Policing Team – Community Update This week, the Westfield Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the annual Neighbourhood Policing Conference at Thirsk Racecourse. The conference included a range of guest speakers and informative sessions, helping officers to build knowledge and share good practice to better support our local communities. Officers have carried out high‑visibility foot patrols in and around West Bank Park following reports of suspected drug use and drug dealing. We encourage residents to continue reporting any concerns or suspicious behaviour so we can take appropriate action. A follow‑up visit has taken place at Westfield Primary School in relation to an incident reported on 28 April 2026. Work is ongoing, and we are continuing to provide support. We also assisted in the search for a missing female, who we are pleased to confirm was found safe and well. As part of ongoing patrol activity, PCSOs located four individuals who were wanted for outstanding offences, including shop theft, common assault, and failing to attend court. One individual was further arrested for assaulting an emergency worker. Officers stopped a vehicle in the Tudor Road area, during which a wanted female was located and appropriate searches were carried out. In addition, a male was arrested in the Foxwood area on suspicion of criminal damage following reports of damage to a vehicle. We would like to remind residents to sign up to Community Messenger to receive local updates, crime prevention advice, and information directly from your neighbourhood policing team. Thank you for your continued support in keeping Westfield a safe place to live and work. | ||
