Superintendent Hannah Hayes - Community Message following Golders Green Incident |
The thoughts and prayers of Haringey Neighbourhoods teams and all officers on North Area BCU are with all those affected by the appalling attack in Golders Green yesterday and to everyone who has been impacted by the spate of violent attacks that preceded it.
We must all stand together and work in partnership to overcome all forms of hate and division. I am truly sorry that I am not able to join you today at the Multi-Faith Forum. But I wanted to make sure that you are all aware that none of you stand alone, and we must all speak out against hate. As police we rely on the strength and bravery of our communities to call out and report incidents. Without you all, your eyes your ears and your support, we will struggle to win the fight. Whilst I can't make statements that we will be able to remove the fear and anxiety, and I am unable to promise that we will always get things right; by working together we can certainly tip the scales in our favour.
