Good morning, Last night I attended the Sevenoaks District Independent Advisory Group to update them on the work that has been done by your Beat team over the last year. This was very well received by attending members and we are looking to build on this work looking forward to being working most closely with your local community warden and local community groups over the next year.
Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs) have been part of UK policing since the late 1990s, established to foster partnerships between police forces and local communities. Their main role is to act as a 'critical friend' to the police, providing advice and feedback on various policing activities and local issues and ensuring communities are properly represented.
Unfortunately, there are currently no IAG members from the Edenbridge area, and I am looking to invite a small group of Edenbridge residents to attend the next IAG meeting in July. If you are interested in representing the town, or would like more information on IAGs and their role, please contact me by pressing reply below and I will be in touch.
Kind regards,
PC MAUNSELL |
