Cyber Crime Advice

Yesterday, PCSO Emma and PCSO Joanna invited Officer Boardman from the Cyber Crime Unit to deliver a talk to residents attending the Caritas House Friendship Group in Collyhurst. The session focused on how to stay safe online and was very well received by everyone present.

Residents were given practical advice on protecting themselves from common cyber threats, including how to recognise suspicious emails and messages, avoid sharing personal or financial information with unknown sources, and create strong, secure passwords. The importance of keeping devices updated and being cautious when clicking on links or downloading attachments was also highlighted.

The session encouraged everyone to take simple steps to stay safe and to report anything unusual or suspicious. Thank you to Officer Boardman for delivering an informative and engaging presentation, and to everyone who attended.
