Stepping up our patrols in Belmont, Canons & Stanmore |
Antisemitism, hatred and violence have no place in our city. Following recent attacks on the Jewish community, the Met has stepped up activity across the capital, deploying thousands of extra officers shifts to protect Londoners alongside intensified investigations leading to arrests.
Today and recently your local policing team have been out in Belmont, Canons & Stanmore. Over recent weeks, we have increased visible patrols across the area, with a particular focus on locations of community significance, including places of worship, schools, and community centres. These patrols are intended to provide reassurance, deter criminal or antisocial behaviour, and ensure officers are readily available to engage with residents.
If you see officers in your area, we welcome you to speak with them. Community engagement is central to our approach, and your feedback helps us shape our policing response.
