Teenager charged after police receive knife report |

A teenage boy has been charged after members of the public spotted someone with a knife in Potters Bar. Police were called at around 1.45pm on Friday 10 April, reporting that somebody had been seen with a knife near Potters Bar train station. Officers immediately attended the scene and the suspect was arrested in Mutton Lane. A 17 year old boy from London has been charged with possession of a knife/bladed article. He appeared at St Albans Youth Court yesterday. PC Mahammad Rahman, from the Potters Bar and Shenley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We’d like to thank the vigilant members of the public who did the right thing by calling us straight away.
