What we've been up to this month: This month has seen the team balancing local priorities alongside increased demands across London. Despite this, we have continued to focus on visible patrols, safeguarding the community, and responding to emerging issues on the ward. Below are some key highlights from the month:
Operational Demand: Our PCs have been supporting other parts of London in response to recent protests, which has kept the team particularly busy this month.
Serious Incident Response: We managed a multi-day crime scene outside Laxa Lounge on Ruby Street following a stabbing, while also providing reassurance to nearby businesses and student accommodation.
Targeted Patrols: Upcoming patrols are planned around Old Kent Road and Malt Street to address a rise in phone snatches highlighted by recent crime statistics.
Seasonal Policing: With better weather leading to increased outdoor anti-social behaviour, our patrol plans are being adjusted accordingly.
Our ward priorities: There is regular drug dealing and drug use in communal areas at Colegrove Road. Drug users have been damaging communal doors to use drugs in the stairwells.
There is regular ASB and drug use at Brimmington Park. There are also a number of anti social dog walkers whose dogs are out of control when not on a lead.
