Doncaster East Neighbourhood Officers took the opportunity to spend some time in the evening sunshine tackling ASB across Dunscroft and Stainforth. 

The evening started with a joint operation with the Roads Policing team, targeting the immediate areas close to the Junction 5 Link Road. The link road is often used as an access route for criminality and ASB in the area. A number of drivers were processed for traffic offences and 2 vehicles were seized for no insurance.

As the sun began to set we moved our attention to the Off road bikes using the Pit Top area across Hatfield and Stainforth.  

Our specialist Drone Officer captured three motorbike riders within a few minutes of being airborne. These riders have been captured on camera and when identified will be dealt with for the relevant offences.

Officers then saw an electric bike being used on a road. The rider was not cooperative in the slightest and made good his escape……. for the time being anyway. A few minutes later when he wasn't expecting it we pounced and the bike was seized. 

The commotion caused was quite the scene, with all sorts of obscenities being thrown at the Officers. 

In fact during this commotion one person got so excited they forgot whilst they were abusing officers that they were also riding an e-scooter illegally. We were about to politely explain the error of his ways, but he decided to ditch the scooter and run!
