Town Centre Patrol

Good evening all,

Whilst PCSO 72838 Davies, PC 05086 Maestro and PC 05829 Nicol, as well as 3 student officers, have been giving hi-vis patrol around the town centre. During our patrols, we encountered a female who unfortunately, had her bank card swallowed and money taken out of her account, without her being given the cash. Upon further inspection, officers noticed a device that had been purposely connected to the ATM, which appeared to be a skimming device. Officers have double checked all the other ATMs in town centre and noticed that others had marks on them where one could have possibly been previously. We have removed the device and will be placed for destruction, our advice to you is to be extra vigilant when using ATMs and be mindful for things that may look out of place.

Officers today have also arrested a male at The Regal Moon due to him being heavily intoxicated and spitting at bar staff. This is something we do not tolerate and expect all bar staff that work on the town centre to be treated with respect.

Finally, a huge congratulation to Rochdale FC for winning against Scunthorpe today 2-1 in a pivotal match for promotion hopes! Fingers crossed they can get it across the line.
