I recently sent these links to new coordiantors in PLumstead Common but I have realised some of these links may be helpful others.
When a crime happens-
1 Often reported on a whats app, share an alert on the group importantly with crime prevention advice - a connected community is a resilient community.
2 encourage reporting - crimes should get a crime ref 0 this is VERY important to link evidence with crimes
3 discourage footage of videos & photos sharing as this can hamper investigations
instead I encourage these to be shared with police
4. inform other coordinators through the coordinator chat who then can inform their communities to spread prevention and good practice.
CRIME REPORTING -
999 - crime in progress or fearing for safety
101 - suspicious activity ( scoping of houses, potential drug deal etc )
