By-election declared for Cippenham Green

Following the resignation of Councillor Robert Stedmond in April, today, Slough Borough Council has published a notice of a by-election in Cippenham Green Ward. 

The by-election will take place on Thursday 11 June 2026 with eligible residents of Cippenham Green Ward invited to vote for one candidate for the vacant seat on the council. 

Residents who want to vote in the by-election are required to be on the electoral register. If residents are not on the register already, they have until 26 May to apply. 

Any voter in Cippenham Green who has previously applied for a postal vote will receive one automatically, but anyone who hasn’t voted by post before and wants to on this occasion has until 5pm on 27 May to apply. 

Candidates will be announced on Friday 15 May and on election day the polls will be open from 7am to 10pm. 

Residents are reminded that anyone voting in person will be required to present appropriate ID.
