Dear Resident
You Said, We Did
Neighbourhood Policing Teams across #Dacorum have been working to tackle the issues that you said matter most to you. They set local policing priorities every four months, guided by residents’ responses to the priorities survey, alongside an analysis of data. Over the past few months, the following issues have been addressed:
Berkhamsted and Tring Fly tipping in Tring and surrounding villages has been addressed through targeted patrols, advice to landowners, joint working with the Rural Operational Support Team and borough council, and waste carrier checks. In Berkhamsted, speed checks and evening patrols have addressed vehicle related anti social behaviour, with drivers spoken to, tickets issued and Section 59 warnings given.
Hemel Hempstead East In Grovehill, officers have carried out patrols, executed warrants, secured Closure Orders on several addresses and held partnership events for residents, as part of continuing work to tackle drug crime in the area. Anti social vehicle use and speeding in Fletcher Way and Maylands Avenue has been addressed through patrols, speaking to and moving on drivers, and issuing Section 59 warnings.
Hemel North Rural, West and Central Vehicle related anti social behaviour near Stoneycroft and Rossgate shops has been addressed with regular patrols and resident surveys. In Marlowes and the Riverside Shopping Centre, patrols have continued, arrests have been made, young people have been spoken to, feedback has been gathered, and work is ongoing with retailers, the council and the BID to help tackle anti-social behaviour.
Kings Langley and Hemel Hempstead South East In Bennetts End, including Coronation Fields and local shops, regular patrols and police surgeries have tackled drug use and vehicle related anti social behaviour. Speeding in Bovingdon High Street has been monitored through extra patrols and speed checks, with no offences recorded. At Apsley Marina, plain clothed patrols, police surgeries and Coffee with a Cop events have taken place to address anti social behaviour and engage with residents.
The latest survey responses are now being reviewed, and the next set of priorities will be announced shortly. Whilst there will be a focus on the local priorities, officers will continue to respond to daily business as usual, as well as forcewide priorities and any emerging issues which require more immediate action. It’s not just your local Neighbourhood Policing Team keeping Dacorum safe. We also have: Officers responding to emergencies Detectives investigating crimes like burglary and assault Specialist units tackling issues such as domestic abuse and acquisitive crime Support from countywide teams when needed You can see what issues residents are raising in your area here - https://orlo.uk/gXgzb | ||
