MISSING PERSON UPDATE

We can sadly confirm that a body has been found in the search for missing 15-year-old Madison, from Tamworth.

Madison was reported missing yesterday (Wednesday 6 May).

Officers were completing extensive searches when a girl fell from a bridge over the A5 near Weeford at around 10.10pm.

Officers and paramedics treated her at the scene, but she sadly died a short while later.

We are not treating the death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.

Madison’s family have been informed and are being supported at this incredibly difficult time.

A referral is being made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) given the previous police contact with her.
