Stolen Motor vehicle located

A quiet street in Woughton on the Green was noisier than usual last night.

We received a call from residents reporting that someone was removing parts from a van using an angle grinder.

Thanks to a quick response from officers, two people were located removing an engine from the van. Initial checks with the individuals were in order; however, when officers carried out checks on the van itself, it was confirmed as stolen.

The people removing the engine were unaware the vehicle was stolen, as they were mobile mechanics.

Details were obtained from the mechanics and the vehicle has now been recovered.

Further enquiries are ongoing.
