Foot patrol (07/05/2026)

Rick took on all of the Parkside beat yesterday afternoon, with local election polling stations visited along the way (est. 6 miles).

Beginning with Felhurst Crescent (5.24pm) and Delvers Mead, it was on to the polls at Eastbrook Primary, before Eastbrook Close and Greenwood Avenue via Hardie Road.

Woodshire Road (6.18pm, p), Luke Allsopp Square, Central Park (p) and Tony Rawson Way (7.46pm) followed, as well as Grove Gardens (8.03pm), Fir Tree Walk and Hooks Hall Drive, before venturing back through Central Park (8.17pm).

In Rush Green, Thorntons Farm Avenue and the Barking and Dagenham College polling station (8.37pm, p) were checked on. It was then south, passing The Chase, Tom Thumb lake and the May and Baker Social Club.
