Illegal E-Bikes and dangerous Driving

Following community concerns regarding illegal e‑bikes and dangerous driving, Ilford Town policing teams have taken robust enforcement action over the past two months. During this period, officers have reported offenders for 108 traffic offences, seized 26 vehicles, and confiscated 44 illegal e‑bikes.

Sgt Andy Groom states :-

“The team are committed to making Ilford town centre a safer place for all, this includes road users and pedestrians.  We are committed to supporting the Ilford town centre neighbourhood priority to address the use of illegal e-bikes and e-scooters in the area.  They go out on patrol every day and actively look to address local concerns and providing a visible presence in the area.”
