Ward Sergeant's Update |
||
|
It has been a particularly busy and challenging week for the Belsize and Gospel Oak Safer Neighbourhood Team. The team has been working hard dealing with antisocial behaviour and crime investigations, alongside carrying out reassurance patrols and supporting the emergency response team. We have also been operating one officer short this week, entirely my fault, as I approved some well‑deserved annual leave for him.
We held a ‘Meet in the Street’ event yesterday, after which I received some helpful feedback that the notification promoting the event, had not been shared via the Met Engage system. This is something I will be looking into and in the meantime, to stay informed about upcoming events, please visit the following webpages. If you scroll to the bottom, you will find the events list.

Here’s what your Safer Neighbourhood Teams have been up to this week.
One really nice highlight from this week was receiving a message from a local resident. Part of the email said the following:
“Not wishing to tempt fate but this is a remarkable drop in incidents that I can only presume is down to some action taken by police over the last year that has either radically affected supply and the number of drug dealers so causing the addicts to have to go elsewhere to collect their drugs. For whatever reason it is on behalf of the residents, I would like to thank you all for your police work”.
It's the little things like this that make our job so worth it – thank you.
I hope your coming week is a good one and as I always say, we can’t be everywhere, but we can be anywhere
All the best
